Anne picked up her now pocket-sized boyfriend and brought him to eyelevel, "I'll get you back normal-size by the days end. Don't worry." She whispered to him, "But for now, you can sit in my bag so you don't get lost." Anne whispered this last part a bit too loud and Serayna heard her, "Oh no you don't! You'll be sitting in my bag so I can keep a close watch on you. Besides, this trick is of my doing. I should be the one responsible if anything were to... happen." Those last words sent shivers down Anne's spine and blew anger through the miniature man now being held between the slim fingers of the very hungry werewolf woman. She flicked him into her bag and nodded in approval as his shouts became muffled and almost inaudible. Anne flinched as the bag was carelessly slung to Serayna's belt and left free to hang off her hip and bounce around if she decided to jump too much. "Please don't hurt him, Serayna." Anne whispered hopefully, almost begging. "Don't worry. I won't... Much." Serayna merely bellowed out a bone-chilling laugh, glanced at the map, and continued on their journey; Anne followed behind, a sick feeling welling up in the pit of her stomach as she watched the bag on her friends hip; tousling around this way and that, taking her boyfriend carelessly with it.
5 hours later...
Serayna looked up and crumpled up the piece of paper she had been looking at. Anne sighed and walked over.
"What's wrong Serayna?" Anne asked. Serayna was looking very psychotic at that moment.
"We've hit yet another dead end. James this map you gave us is no good!" Anne said speaking towards no one in particular. Suddenly a voice spoke up from a pouch on Serayna's side.
"Well, then why don't you get me the hell out of this bloody pouch so i can help you." James' voice spoke.
"Well, you wouldn't be in there if you hadn't screwed up in the first place and gotten Serayna mad James." Anne protested. Serayna held the pouch in her hand, and prodded it with a stick.
"How are you doing in there, James? Do you have to go to the bathroom yet?" Serayna asked, prodding the bag some more.
"No, i soiled the bag a few minutes ago... but thanks for asking." James yelled from inside. His voice was high and tiny, just like the people who shrink in movies.
"EW!!! Serayna screamed. She suddenly dropped the bag and kicked it one good time.
"That is for ruining my faery bag. That was a gift from the Prince of Faeries, Uth himself. God that bastard was hot... to bad he died." Serayna muttered. Anne rolled her eyes.
" Does every guy you fall in love with just happen to die?" James asked. Serayna smiled and kicked the bag twice more, "OUCH! That was my face!" Hearing this last comment, Anne decided it was time to intervene. She gasped and ran to the back as quickly as she could, knowing James hadn't really soiled himself or the bag, and pulled the drawstrings open. She slid a few strands of her hair into the bag and, after a few seconds, pulled them back out to reveal James hanging thankfully onto the ends. Anne set him into her palm and, noticing that Serayna had just left for hunting no more than a few seconds ago, rummaged through her things until she found a small field-guide spell book. Anne flipped open to the middle of the book and read the reversing spell. Then, when she felt she had it memorized, she sat James on a rock and whispered Reverous mithrisius howlerimius...
James quickly grew back to his normal size, just as they heard a bloodthirsty howl coming from just over the hill, "Oh, thank God! No, thank you Anne!" He went to hug her but jumped back upon contact. It was obvious that he had at least one broken bone, his nose had been smashed by Serayna's foot, and he had numerous scrapes all over his body, anyone could tell he was in pain, "Sorry, it's not you. It really is me." He apologized to Anne after seeing the surprised look on her face. He laughed through a wince as he clenched his teeth but, as was said before, anyone could tell he was in pain.
So, Anne set to work to repair her boyfriend. She searched through the small spell book and combined all of the smaller healing spells into one larger one. Then she stitched up all of his open wounds; of course he hadn't been bleeding- he was a vampire and had no blood to bleed- they were just torn pieces of flesh hanging open, revealing his bones...

"Okay...if i'm reading this right... there's a town just over that ridge, we get to that town, and we'll be able to find his weapon store soon enough." Serayna said staring at the map. She had finished with her hunt, so her teeth were bloody.
"Good... we can finally lay this to rest and continue on to..." James started, but Serayna held up a hand.
"Nope... i don't want to hear another word, James. Nothing about the D word. Not until we find him..." Serayna started, but just as she started heading south towards the town, the ground beneath her shook, and a dull roar could be heard from within.
"Um... Serayna i know you didn't want us talking about it. But seeing as that could very well be him..." Anne started sidling over to James so that she would have something steady to hold.
"When we see him we can talk." Serayna said, a slight quiver in her voice.
"Well, Serayna sorry to break it to you, but you better start talking, cause i'm here." A voice whispered from behind them.
OOC: Hailey... i'm gonna try to incorporate my pre-New Year's Revolution. You know the one about the guys...

The three spun around to see, to their greatest disappointment, Dromio, in all of his beefy, hunk-muffiny glory. Anyone could easily she how Seryna had fallen for him all those years ago; the man was gorgeous! "Great," Serayna sighed, "Just what I wanted." Sarcasm pouring through her sentence under her breath. Dromio chuckled, amused almost, and took slow steps, approaching Serayna. "Go away, Dromio. I never wanted you to come here. Not now." She said harshly, her teeth barred tight as she prepared to leap and take him down. "Oh, but, my dearest little flower, this is what you asked for, I am what you want, and always will be." He said gently- the most annoying voice he could use at that moment. Serayna just about exploded with anger. Her face glowed red and she barred her teeth even more, showing her sharp, bloody fangs- freshly sharpened from her recent hunt. "Shut up you Bastard!" She growled furiously, "I'm done with your kind! And any others for that matter! I never wanted you, or anyone else!" Dromio chuckled lightly under his breath again, "Ahhh, Serayna, my dearest. You love me and you know it. Why else would you call me forth from the grave?" Serayna was baffled. She had no idea what to say. No idea why she had been dumb enough to let her heart become so attached to this... Thing... This... Man.
OOC: Tee-hee. Here you are, Melindy! Happy Pre-New Year's Resolution! *glomp*

"Serayna... you know you can't resist me. Stop trying to fight it and let the feelings take over..." Dromio muttered, his voice, sweet as honey, spun a harmonic rhythm. The song they had played together. His eyes were taunting. Begging yet commanding that she join in his musical.
"Dromio... darling... you know i don't mean just you. I mean all guys. All the guys I've chased in the last three months, Caliban, Aeilon, Panthris, and Xavier as well. And you, my sweet Dromio... you are the one that's not as painful to let go... you're dead." Serayna said sweetly, her hand on his chest.
And with that a flash of blue light emitted from her hand, and the seductive smile that had previously been on Dromio's face, was replaced with a peaceful pain.
"Call me sedistic, but that is my favorite expression." Serayna murmured. Anne looked at Serayna like she was a killer... which she was.
Then everything faded into a white light. And Serayna awoke to find herself laying beneath a canopy of leaves. A heavy fog blanketed over the forest. Serayna sat up, and found Anne and James lying near her. Whether they were asleep or awake... was beyond her.
Serayna looked around and realized... killing Dromio and letting go of him was just a dream. A mirage of her wishes.
Wishful thinking... it won't get you anywhere. Cause if you wish hard enough, you'll believe your hopefuls. And then you'll be even more heartbroken when it doesn't come true. Wishful thinking... god why am i cursed with it?

She thought about what Dromio's face had looked like when she told him that she didn't love him... she remembered it perfectly. It was two days ago. "Dromio... i'm sorry that you heard it that way. Please Dromio... i'm really sorry." Serayna said. Dromio just turned away, tears rolling down his cheeks. "Dromio... come on. I meant to tell you sooner or later. But it's not like i wasn't going to." Serayna muttered. "But there was no hurry to tell me... was there?" Dromio said snidely. Serayna sighed and walked towards him, only for him to walk farther away. "Come on... it's not like you're my boy friend." Serayna explained. "But i was crap near close to it." Dromio bellowed turning around. Serayna's greatest fear was being yelled at. She hated it. And now she was being yelled at by the guy she had until recently loved. "So who is it you're in love with? Is it Garreth... Marcus? Who?" Dromio asked, venom ladened on his tongue. "Panthris..." Serayna practically mouthed. But being the good listener he was, Dromio heard it. "WHO!!!!!! ??" He screamed. "Panthris Hayden Gales." Serayna screamed back. Dromio staggered back a few paces. "Panthris? You're in love with my brother?" Dromio asked. His eyes were overwhelmed with tears. Serayna sniffled, and nodded. "Not that i don't love you still. Just not as much as i used to be. Dromio i'm sorry. You knew it wasn't going to work." Serayna said, she walked forward and put her arms around Dromio. "I want you to leave. I want you to leave, and never come back. I demand that you leave this house. And for as long as i live, you will never return." Dromio whispered threatingly. Serayna stiffled a sob and nodded. "Okay... Goodbye, my dear Dromio." Serayna said as she turned away. But that time was gone now, and here Serayna was two days in the future. Dromio risen from the dead and Panthris had disappeared. She didn't know what to do. She couldn't stand being around Anne and James for too long, she would grow weary, and aware of the fact that no matter what happened, they had each other. But she would just be alone. She guessed she was jealous. And Anne was blissfully unaware of that. And no matter how hard or how little Serayna tried, she would never have another. No one to have, no one to hold. No one to say that you are not alone. Serayna got up and walked towards the river. She spashed some water in her face and stared down at her reflection. She jumped back, screaming. She had seen something else. "What was that? In the water's reflection... was that really... my reflection?" Serayna muttered to her self. "Am i really..." She started, but what was cut off by the sound of metal. Like a knife being pulled from a sheath. She turned around, still crouching. In front of her stood a man, dressed in armor, a katana in his hands. "Serayna Joel Evi... you are under arrest for the murder of Panthris Hayden Gales." And now she knew, no matter what she did. There wasn't anything more terrifying in the world. No one to have, no one to hold. No one to prove that she wasn't alone.

"Panthris is dead?" Serayna asked. The Knight nodded, his eyes narrowed towards. If she could see his face, she knew it would be a scowl.
"Yes, he's dead, murdered." The Knight said. There was something funny about his scent. Serayna couldn't tell what it was, but there was something... very unknight-like about this fellow.
"He can't be. I saw him! Not two days ago! I was there at his house! And he was there." Serayna stuttered. The Knight sneered, or she thought he was sneering.
"The perfect time for the murder, i suspect. He was found throat slit and drugged last night. There's no telling who did it, but who better than the girl who loved him, who he didn't love back." The Knight muttered. Serayna looked up, her teary eyes alert.
"No one said i loved him. And no one said he didn't love me back. How would you know that, when i haven't even told my best friend that i love him?" Serayna asked, curiosity and suspicion leaking through her lips.
"That is evidence that i am not qualified to share. All that i know is that YOU were the last one Panthris saw before he died, and YOU are under arrest for the murder of Panthris Hayden Gale." The Knight spoke clear and true.
"No, she's not... Caliban..." A voice said behind him. The Knight frowned and transformed before Serayna's eyes. Standing there was now, Caliban, a good friend of Panthris.
The one who had spoke, was Anne. She was frowning.
"She was not the last one Panthris saw before his murder. I was." Anne muttered. Caliban glared at her.
"You killed Panthris. He was like a brother to me." Caliban said. Serayna looked at Caliban. She knew there was something wrong with the Knight, but that was because he was a shape shifter. But there was something wrong with Caliban. Something... not right.
This isn't Caliban. I don't trust him. Don't say anymore. Serayna thought in her mind. Anne took a half glance at Serayna, but that half glance was enough.
The Shape Shifter smiled and transformed to a cat, and ran off through the words. Serayna smiled, and howled, changing into a werewolf, and quickly took off after the Cat. Anne whistled and a dragon leapt into view. Smiling, she mounted the Dragon and took to the skies, to watch the chase, and catch the cat.
Serayna! He's going to the cliff... He's going to jump! Don't follow him! NOOO!
"NOOOOO!!!!!!! SERAYNA!!!!" Anne screamed as Serayna jumped off the cliff.

Anne opened two bright green eyes and looked up into the clear blue sky... A new reality was being born... A new dimension... A new world... A new way of life... She was new again... And not by choice... A flash of shocking remembrance quivered down her spine and scuttled into her head. She shivered as her mind painted a perfectly detailed picture of that last clear, sunny day. A day all too similar to the one she had just found herself in... Left to wonder what was to become of this world she now lived in...
Serayna's disappearance had given her an entire new outlook of the world around her. She didn't have a best friend anymore... At least, not a girl. It seemed as if everyone she knew and loved was getting stolen away from her by the cruel truth of reality.
Serayna had disappeared... Became a missing person... Vanished. She was just gone.
There was no trail for Anne to follow. No signs that Serayna was alive... No signs she was dead. And Anne felt helpless.
That night, directly after Serayna's jump, Anne went to stand at the very edge of the cliff. She shouted into the sky and reached out with her mind for Serayna, but to no avail.
She stared into the darkness above, the full moon hung full and bright in the brightly speckled skies.
She stared into the darkness below, she could've sworn she heard a dog whimpering in pain. She reached her mind out again, but there was nothing, no one around for hundreds and thousands of miles but her...
Not even a cat.

The brassy noise filled the dark space, a mournful sound that could bring tears to anyone's eyes. A solo became a duet as a violin added to the mix. The harmony and melody flowed in and out of each other flowing smoothly. Then came another trumpet. Going higher and higher, it's tune peaceful, but sad. And as the trio played smoothly, what sounded like drums brought it into a quartet. Slow and mournful, the piece was beautiful, telling a story of love, death, demons, and resurrection, then death again.
The first trumpet became the second, flowing into harmony as the second trumpet who had entered rose to the melody, swiftly bringing it to a crescendo. And then decrescendo as the story rode on.
It was the story of Serayna's life. Her story finally told in full. The first and only time it could ever be played, for this was the last time all would play together.
The harmonic trumpet fell away, unknowing as to why he was leaving. The melodic trumpet grew louder and louder, and slightly overbearing it. But as the tune rode on, the other instruments adjusted. The violin played the harmony as the drums and trumpet battled it out for the melody.
Slowing to a peaceful agreement they played a harmonic and melodic melody, weaving in and out of each other, the violin and trumpet kept a steady tune, the drums keeping the tempo right.
But as the night grew older, the vioin faded to a whisper, it's player filled with uncertainty as to why he was there. Unsure as to if he could keep up with the drums and trumpet, he allowed the trumpet a solo as the thought.
The drums grew louder, hoping to make it clear he was the best. And the right one, but the trumpet fought hard. The story broken and rejected, left behind as the instruments battled it out for a reason to be there.
Anne... give me a reason to not be there... give me a reason to stay here, and i will... Give me a reason to continue on as dead, and i will stay dead. Panthris... Xavier... Hairo... I'm unworthy of you, but just say the word and I shall be healed... How sweet the sound that saved a wretch like me... You raise me up, you raise me high... Bear you on the breath of dawn, make you to shine like the sun... And he will hold you in the palm, of his hand... My wings! My life! Set me free!
"Selena!"
