This story takes place in the forest...
Pheonix started the post:
Phoenix gathered a few things from her tiny little shack and sighed as she looked around the now empty shack. She was sadder then heck. she hated doing this and hated using a dagger. But she just loved the way daggers were designed usually.
She walked through the woods towards the river. There she sat for an hour waiting for Percy and Anne. She knew that they would come, and knew what she had to do. She knew it could be called a mistake and a stupid idea what she was out to do.
Phoenix wasn't prepared for what she was about to do. She also knew that it was a good idea for her to do so.
"Phoenix. I think i have an idea of what you're about to do. But it won't work. Reincarnation is very rare among your type. Please don't do this." Anne said. Phoenix smiled and paid no attention to what she said.
Phoenix took out a long dagger then plunged it into Anne's solarplexis. Percy went into convulsions. Another guy came up starting to watch the whole scene. He cried out.
At that moment she stuck a knife her in stomach, in plain view of the other man. His name was Edward. He watched the girls die, then went into convulsions himself.
Both Edward and Percy changed their appearances. Percy was shed of his dark black skin, showing a pale body. Edward was saved of the stupid brown hair he had once hated. Growing in it's place locks of gold. Both turning into the loves of both Anne and Phoenix. Once their transformation had been complete, they dropped to their knees and held their lovers in their arms.
The afternoon passed into night as the two men held their dead fiancees.
Anne replied:
The midnight fog hung gloomily in the air as the four lay still by the riverbank. Percy and Edward were the only ones still alive, but were sound asleep as they held close to their now dead fiancees. Every breath they took seemed to cling to the chill air above them, but it would soon wisp away, almost as if being taken in by the corpses of Anne and Pheonix. Suddenly, Percy was awoken. He could hear a heartbeat, however silent and lingering, within Anne's chest. Edward could feel Pheonix breathing, but only slightly. The two men sat up and stared at eachother, then at their fiancees, in fear and excitement. How could this be?
Pheonix replied:
Phoenix gasped taking in her first breath of air in a long time. She looked around, the night air breeze soothing her racing mind and beating heart. She looked over at Anne who was breathing heavily. She knew that this was the way it was meant to be.
"Phoenix, if you ever do that again, i'll kill you if you haven't already killed me." Anne said. She was grasping Daniel's hand pretty hard. It was already starting to get purple.
Phoenix reached over and released Daniel's hand from Anne's monstrous grip. Daniel smiled at Phoenix who smiled back. He remembered her. And she remembered him. They had been friends for along time.
Suddenly Anne gasped but this time, not in relief of air, but in horror and shock. Phoenix looked at what she was gasping at and practically screamed. It was something they hoped they would never see for a long time.
On the moon was a shadow. A shadow that meant a whole lot to Anne and Phoenix, not so much to Edward and Daniel.
"What is it?" Edward asked. He was worried, because he could see tears rolling down Phoenix's cheek.
On the shadow was what looked like thousands of human sized bats. All flying through the air with a jet black one in the lead. There were myriads of colors. But the lead stood out. Phoenix started sobbing.
"What is it? Come on tell us!" Daniel asked. Anne was just as scared as Phoenix.
In unison they said, "It's our father."
Anne replied:
"Your father?" Daniel and Edward asked in unision as the two girls tried to hold back their tears.
"I thought your father was James Porter." Daniel said to Anne.
"And what do you mean by our father? You two are sisters?" Edward said pulling in Pheonix and hugging her, trying to help control her crying.
"What's so bad about seeing your father? I mean, I know it's a bit of a drag having to visit your parents, but this must be really bad if it made both of you cry." Typical Daniel. He was a bit oblivious sometimes and, knowing that it took a lot to make Anne and Pheonix cry, he was beginning to get really worried. Edward and Daniel exanged nervous glances as they held their fiancees for the first time in what seemed to be forever.
The beasts swarmed into the night sky. They looked like a perfect model of the Black Plague, swift and fierce as it attacked and killed thousands...
Pheonix replied:
Phoenix decided it was time for her to explain everything.
"You see, we have the same father. We were told that her mother was smart and married another man and made it seem as if she was his child. My mother didn't keep it a secret, because well she just didn't want to. So she just said she married a Count in Transylvania who died in a horrible accident. Which is the truth, but she never said it was 300 years before and that he's now a vampire." Phoenix explained.
"But we found out last life, from one of his new wives, that we are sisters. In full, apparently my mother never really gave birht to me. And that we are the only two who have survived the scourge of Dracula's offspring. We are twin sisters. And next in line to be head Vampires of the world. Do you know how freaking scary that is?" Anne said tears rolling down her cheeks.
"TWINS??!!" They said in unison. Phoenix was shaking with fear, while Anne was trying hard to hold back her screams. They both could barely keep themselves from running away as fast as they could.
They both nodded to their fiancees, crying so hard.
The lead bat landed in front of the four and turned into a human. He had marble white skin and greasy black hair. His eyes were a lifeless black. His teeth pointed and his nails long and yellow.
Daniel and Edward stepped in front of Anne and Phoenix. Dracula glared at them with recognition.
"You. I thought i killed you. But apparently you reincarnate every 100 years. So let's see if burning you will keep you dead." Dracula said holding out his hand.
Anne and Phoenix stepped in front of Daniel and Edward. Dracula stopped and stared with disbelief.
"Robyn. Adrena. Step away from those men. They've attempted to kill me multiple times. They haven't succeeded seeing as i'm still here." Dracula said, expecting his daughters to move.
"No. We stay here. In front of our fiancees. In front of our friends. In front of our partners. We also attempted to kill you. We love being vampires, don't get us wrong, but we hate how we became vampires. Through blood and birth. The most stupidest way." Anne and Phoenix said together.
And with those words said, a light in the dark clouded night shone upon them, lifting them up. The wind blew their hair around and brought them closer to the source of the light.
With a bright flash of light they disappeared in the bright light. Daniel and Edward cried out. They disappeared and the clouds moved together once again.
A voice was then heard across the valley, the forest and the mountains. Everyone in the towns looked up, listening to the voice as if commanded by it.
Anne replied:
In the darkness, there you hid. Shunned from the world, and even your kin. The transformation almost done. Dracula, now, your time has come. Every Vampire has his day, yours has come, today's the day. Now you choose, yourself or them. Die in their place, or spare the twins? Choose wisely, old friend, for there is no coming back. It's time to choose, with the reaper, make your pact.
Dracula stood staring into the heavens, thinking about his daughters, the only two left. Their beautiful smiles, their glowing faces. They were next in line to rule the world as head Vampires, the only ones left alive in his long line of descending family. After a few short minutes, Dracula looked straight into the source of the light, he spread his arms wide, his dark cloak flailing fearcely in the wind. Then, he shouted his final words in an ancient Vampire trance-like state:
Dawn is approaching, free of this curse, live long and prosper. To the last of the Dracula offspring, I wish the best. I shall take their place, return them to their beloved. But my one final wish--- Let them be known throughout all the world, as Dracula's beloved daughters, the only ones who had any faith in me. I say goodbye now, I bid my love to my daughters, let them choose their own paths, rather than inherit them.
With that, another burst of light shone upon Dracula. A fierce wind surrounded him and he was risen off the ground as he blew away like sand...
In exchange for Dracula, the two ladies slowly drifted back to Earth, just as the spirit had promised. The two looked at peace as they lay there on the ground, fragile and limp, the sky growing darker, Edward and Daniel walking slowly towards them. The men sat beside and held their fiancees once more until they slowly regained their energy. Yet again, Daniel and Edward waited and watched anxiously as the two women slowly came to life.
Pheonix replied:
But as they awoke, something felt different to Edward. He couldn't quite place it. He felt as if he knew Phoenix, but only what she looked like. Not who she was.
As Phoenix opened her eyes, they changed from comfort to confused. She spoke a long string of words in another language it sounded familiar but not familiar enough. It wasn't Spanish and it wasn't Italian or German. It definitley wasn't Norweigan. And couldn't be French. He thought, then realized, it was Transylvanian.
Anne woke up seconds later and spoke in the same language as Phoenix. Daniel and Edward looked at each other.
"Okay, i don't think this is good." Daniel said with a whisper. One of Dracula's wives stepped forward, smiling.
"Yes, you may not have heard but as he went up, he said a spell. They are no longer Anne and Phoenix, but his two sisters, Serenity and Trinity. They have arisen and may i tell you, they are the most vicious vampires known to man. Worse than Dracula could ever hope to be." She said smiling and laughing, a Transylvanian accent strong on her tongue.
Edward and Daniel withdrew their arms from Serenity and Trinity.
"Crap, we're now getting married to women who were once dead." Daniel said. Edward nodded and together they quickly ran away.
